Easter Eggers can go by many names: Americana, Sapphire Blue, Azure Blue, Starlight Green Egger, Sage Egger, W. True Green, etc. They are all essentially a hybrid cross or multigenerational mixes. This means they will lay eggs of all different colors. We use multiple breeds to create our F1 Easter Eggers. 85% of them will lay a green egg, 10% will lay a blue egg, and a very small fraction has the possibility of laying a brown or white egg. The hatching eggs that you will receive will mostly be light brown or or green but are covered by a blue or green egg gene rooster to create a green/blue layer in the chick that will hatch from the egg. The greens from these Easter Egger pullets will usually be lighter than those of our Olive Eggers and will be similar to pale green, mint, and matcha. We are no longer offering the BC1 OE backcrossed to a Blue Egger AKA Spearmint Egger. That breeding pen has been combined with that of the Easter Eggers and both are sold under this Easter Egger listing.
