The Ellison Chocolate Egger is a proprietary multi-generational mix created on our homestead for dark eggs that is also sexable at hatch. Hens look similar to the Black Copper Marans with dark feathering and gold/copper hackles but in a smaller, more streamlined frame. Their feed conversion is also much better than the Marans. They may or may not have feathering on the shanks. The Ellison Chocolate Egger lays a large, usually matte, milk chocolate egg with the occasional bird laying a highly speckled or heavy bloomed egg. We get lots of purple tinted eggs from the Ellison Chocolate Eggers. Due to the limited number of breeder birds, hatching eggs can only be purchased in 1/2 Dozen per order. Do NOT attempt to add more than a half dozen to any one order for one ship date. By doing so, you agree to receive 1/2 dozen on two separate dates that may or may not be close to one another. No refunds, returns, or exchanges.
