F1 Olive Eggers are a first generation hybrid between a dark brown layer and a blue egg layer. The hatching eggs that you will receive can be brown or blue but understand that the hen was paired with a rooster who carries the complementary genetics to create a chick that, if a pullet, will lay a green egg in the generation you hatch from the eggs. If you want to be guaranteed an green egg, F1 Olive Eggers are the way to go. Eggs can range on a spectrum from a lighter pale olive egg to a dark army green, sometimes with speckles. We can not guarantee a specific shade of green as we use multiple breeds of parent stock to create these hybrids. With these birds, we want to create as many different shades of olive as possible. Some eggs will have a sheen, some will be matte finish, some will have speckling, some will not. Each hen's egg is unique. Pullets are usually black, chocolate, crele, or mauve. Cockerels are black, blue, crele, or barred.
