Sea salt bars are rock hard and have amazing benefits including detoxification, cleansing ability, exfoliation, and balancing of the skin's pH. This bar is scented with the wonderfully bright scent of grapefruit which pairs perfectly with the skin-brightening properties of this soap. I've used this bar for over 2 months and have seen improvement in the appearance of dark patches of skin, especially in the hormone-induced, pregnancy dark patches in the armpits that never went away after having kids. Even with all the extra sea salt which tends to kill bubbliness, the bar still maintains a wonderful lather. With the pink himalayan salt, the bar is highly exfoliating so it may not be ideal for those who have very sensitive skin. However, my husband loves using these bars in his shop to replace the usual orange pumice sold at the auto parts store to degrease hands. My daughter, also an avid painter, loves using it to clean her hands of oil paints. We have sea salt bars all over the house!
 
Do not use salt bars on open skin, including open sores, cuts, or wounds. I recommend alternating the use of sea salt bars with our other, more moisturizing soaps. Using the sea salt bars exclusively does cause some skin dryness after multiple uses. However, I do find that use of the sea salt bar helps to soften the dead skin cells on the outermost skin layer. After using and rinsing off the soap, the dead skin cells seem to rub right off with a luffa, soap saver bag, or even just your fingers. Even blackheads and pore-clogging dirt and oils seem to get pulled to the surface for easier extraction. Of course, these are my observations and my own experiences so take it with a grain of salt. (Pun intended).
 
The weight of each bar averages about 4.8 ounces but will not be less than 4.25 ounces. Due to the handmade nature of our products, each bar may vary in design and/or color. No two bars will look exactly the same. The design and colors for each fragrance blend may change over time as we fine-tune our product designs. All of our bars are mild to moderately scented as to not be overwhelming. The fragrance combinations are crafted to release with the warmth in the bath and shower for a burst of aroma that rinses off the skin well, leaving only a lovely, faint smell after. The fragrances will not interfere with the smell of your favorite perfume, cologne, or lotion. Our bars are made with wonderfully nourishing natural butters and oils. No parabens, no artificial dyes, no preservatives. These are NOT melt and pour soap bases from the craft store. We make all of our bars from scratch in small batches from our homestead to yours. This allows us to control exactly what and how much of each ingredient goes into each bar for the ideal combination of lather, cleansing, and nourishment for the skin. It takes 4-6 weeks from the time the bars are made to when they are ready to be sold due to the curing process. There may be times when we are sold out of certain bars, so stock up if you love a particular bar! 
 
Directions: Wet the skin. Take the bar and rub it between your wet hands to build up lather. Rub the lather and/or bar onto skin to cleanse. Alternatively, these bars work great in soap saver bags which allow lather to come through and provide additional exfoliation. Rinse thoroughly. For the longest lasting bar, place soap bar on a perforated soap tray or holder and allow to dry thoroughly between uses. 
 
Warning: Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients. Stop using the soap immediately if you experience any adverse reactions to the bar soap and speak to your physician about possible allergies or sensitivities to any of the ingredients.
